Its important to spend time getting to know the summer camps you are considering and understanding exactly who will be caring for your children. 2018 Year In Review: Look At All The Fun We Had At Frogbridge Daycamp

Frogbridge Celebrates 20 Years Of Hoppin’ Fun In 2018!

Each year, we seem to outdo ourselves, but- WOW! This year really took the cake! Celebrating our 20th Anniversary, Frogbridge had a summer chock full of new surprises and fun! Our new logo and extended food menu with healthier options were just the start. The real fun came out on campus…

Color War To The Xtreme!

Color War is arguably our campers’ favorite event each year and the day it breaks is always a well-kept secret. One of the summer’s hit movies was Ant-Man and the Wasp, and its theme song was Rob Base’s It Takes Two. What better way to break Color War this year than having celebrity Rob Base perform this song live! The kids went wild with fun! See the Color War magic that brings the biggest smiles and the loudest cheers for yourself:

Adventure Amenities Reach New Heights

20 Years of Adventure Amenities just got better! This summer we opened our brand new 30ft high rock wall with 3 climbing lanes, and— even better than before! — our 200 ft. zip lines were replaced with 500 ft. long sip lines. Our campers have soared farther than ever before on our new 500ft zip-line. Zipping through the woods like Tarzan, our campers adventure through the trees before zooming over the lake to reach the other side. At Frogbridge, our teachers and counselors encourage our campers to reach new heights, climbing higher, pushing harder to reach their goals. Our new rock wall is the thing to give these values shape. Reaching 30ft into the air, our new rock wall is taller and wider than ever before, the campers looked forward to taking on the challenge each week!

Close To Home & Heart

This past year, we also made wonderful expansions and broke records!

Convenience For Campers: Our transportation team has expanded with more drivers, all of whom must have at least 3 years of experience with a spotless record to be considered for the important task of transporting our precious cargo. With this expansion, we also have added more central bus stops, so Frogbridge has become more accessible than ever to campers who live farther away.

Frogtastic Fundraising: Each year we encourage campers and their families to donate a new, unwrapped toy during our incredible Frogtoberfest event. Without fail, the amount of toys generously donated by our families is incredible, but this year, the record was broken with over 500 toys, which were given to children’s hospitals and other youth organizations in need.

Our campers also broke the fundraising charts this summer with over $16,000 raised for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in honor of Jordan’s Journey. We couldn’t be more proud of them!

Our Family Is Growing: This was also an incredible year for the Pugliese family. On February 22, 2018, Jr and his wife became proud parents to a happy and healthy baby boy while making our own Frank, a proud grandpa once again.. This summer the bouncing baby boy made his first visit to the camp, and spent a quality day with his dad and grandpa.

Frogbridge Gives Back: Hospital Toy Drives

Frogbridge Gives Back: Hospital Toy Drives

Meaningful Beginnings

If the Ghost of Christmas Past were here, he would take us down memory lane to the very first week the Frogbridge day camp was opened. The owner, Frank Pugliese, and his son, our Director, JR, were excited to welcome the very first campers to the grounds when circumstances took a turn. Working in his yard at home, JR contracted Lyme disease, and worse— Bell’s Palsy, which resulted in his hospitalization for two weeks. He received daily treatments on the floor where most adults did, but on the weekends and holidays he was sent to receive his treatments on the pediatric floor, among many unfortunate children that were there for much worse illnesses. On the morning of the 4th of July, with many children among them, Frank and JR decided they would show the young patients a treat. As the fireworks were about to begin, they gathered all of the children by the windows on their floor and watched the beautiful fireworks display light up the sky in a show of dazzling colors, together. As they saw the children smiling and the joy on their faces, this father and son pair knew they had to do even more. During JR’s stay, the Pugliese men also noticed the playroom for these kids was sorely lacking. Although the toys were broken or missing pieces, the kids made the best of the toys that they could. It was then that both JR and Frank realized that while JR’s time in the hospital was almost over, for many of these kids, the end of their stay was still a long way off with more fights to win. A sudden need to help them, to keep them smiling took root, and Frogbridge got to work…

Summer Fun-draising

Since the Pugliese family’s inspiration to give back, they have taught their campers each summer different ways to raise money for different philanthropies. Over the years Frogbridge has raised well over $75,000 – and that’s not even counting the school bus that was filled with food from floor to ceiling for the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean County following Super Storm Sandy! Some of the organizations Frogbridge Daycamp has donated to are: But we don’t stop there…

Frogtober Fest: Trick Or Treat And Toys

Each autumn when campers are back in school and gearing up for their big night of costumes, candy and fun, we invite our campers and their families back to Frogbridge for an incredible event called the FrogtoberFest—a night of Halloween family fun! Festivities include a not-so-haunted hayride, a haunted house, pumpkin picking, petting zoo, magic shoes, and a delicious buffet full of amazing menu items. Families have the option of bringing an unwrapped new toy to this event for our annual toy drive. Every year the outcome of donated toys is astounding! For children to be unwell and away from home during the holidays is a heartbreaking thing, so we make it our mission to bring them even the smallest joy. This is why at the start of the holiday season, we load up our trucks with the donated toys and head over to several hospitals. Sometimes we can even hand-deliver the toys to the children in their rooms and even get to meet the families. Today, when children wake up to countess gifts under the Christmas tree, a single toy may not seem like much, but it means the world to these kids in need. And for us, there is no greater joy than the smiles that one little toy can bring to so many faces.

Frogbridge Camp Transportation: Leave The Driving To Us This Summer!

Camp Transportation: Leave The Driving To Us!

Camp season at Frogbridge summer camp is just around the corner. We are so excited to see familiar faces and meet new ones! Our drivers are all revved-up, too! They’re the magic carpet rides that bring our campers safely from home to camp and back again each day. Their care for the children, make campers feel comfortable and our parents feel secure knowing that their children are well looked after when the bus pulls away. To the drivers, their bus routes are so much more personal than just a bus-ride or a job: they are looking after extended family!

Parents feel confident leaving their kids with our drivers, not just because of their smiling faces each morning, but because we only hire the best and most experienced drivers to transport such precious cargo. At Frogbridge we take great pains to ensure that our drivers are competent and trustworthy. All drivers are CDL licensed, finger printed as well as drug tested and have passed several background checks. In fact, our transportation specialists have many years of experience transporting children throughout central New Jersey.

Whether your child is 4 or 14 years old, we understand the pre-camp jitters and how scary it can seem to be driven to a new place by a strange person. To give them the confidence they need, we introduce campers to their drivers with a dry-run meet and greet in June before camp starts. This makes the children (and parents too!) feel comfortable during their ride because they have a familiar face they already met before the first day of camp.

New Summer, New Stops!

Central Express is one of our most popular transportation options. At designated locations throughout Central NJ, groups of campers can be picked up at a discounted rate. Each day, parents bring their kids to the designated bus stop where our drivers are waiting to bring them to a new day of frog-tastic fun!

We are proud to announce that this option is now available to even more families because we are adding several new stops to the Central Express. We believe that ever camper should have the opportunity and ease to enjoy the one-of-a-kind experience to be had at Frogbridge. If transportation has been the obstacle in the way of your child’s attendance at Frogbridge Day Camp or if you’ve been looking for a more convenient central location, see if any of our Central Express stops work for you:

Transportation Options For All Family Schedules

It’s as easy as A,B,C…and D!

A) As always, our door-to-door transportation is available for all campers. Each morning and evening our drivers will pick up your child(ren) from home and return them safely, so you as a parent never have to worry about driving or missing a bus.

B) For parents and families with busy schedules or who prefer to drive their precious cargo themselves, there is the option for parents to drop off and pick up their children each day, and best of all, at a discounted rate!.

Basic parent drop off follows the same arrival and departure time as our bus transportation, with drop off times between 9:00-9:10am and pick up times between 4:00-4:10pm. each day.

C) Those who choose to enroll in our Extended Care program can drop off their campers as early as 7:30 am and pick up as late as 6:00pm. so parents can work around busy work schedules. (i.e. if both parents work in the city and are unable to be home at the time camp ends). This program allows children to be supervised by teachers and counselors leading activities until an adult family member is able to take the child home, ensuring their safety.

D) We now also offer a late bus option to some towns throughout our pick up zones. In an effort to make matters even more convenient for those who cannot make it to camp to pick up their children by 6:00pm, we now have late busses that will drive to designated central bus stops, dropping kids off at or around 6:00pm. Please call our office for details and to register for this amazing new transportation option!

For more information on our transportation services and extended care options see our Transportation Page or give us a call!

Thinking about enrolling? It’s never too late. Simply call our friendly office and arrange a personal tour today!

More Than Just Day Camp: Other Services at Frogbridge

Learn About Frogbridge’s Other Divisions

Over the years, you’ve come to know Frogbridge for offering the finest New Jersey summer camp experience. However, there is much more than just summer camp that goes on at Frogbridge. Here are some of the other “divisions” of Frogbridge that you might not have known about.

Tadpole Village Preschool

Tadpole Village is owned by Frogbridge and is a preschool for children between the ages of two-and-a-half and six years. Led by our very own Dr. Lisa Polvere, students can develop their academic skills by completing fun, age-appropriate activities. Class sizes are relatively small, because we want to make sure we can devote enough time to work with each student individually.

Tadpole Village utilizes many of the spectacular facilities found at our summer camp, including an outdoor playground, a computer lab, a craft studio, and our 6,000 sq. ft gymnasium. Special events are held throughout the year, including a Holiday Show in December, our Halloween hayrides, our parent’s day picnic and two Scholastic book fairs.

Frogbridge Picnics & Events

Frogbridge Picnics and Events has been creating unforgettable experiences for companies of various sizes, as well as school picnics and family reunions. When camp is not in session, many of the same great amenities your campers enjoy all summer are available through the picnic packages offered at Frogbridge. Some of the amenities you can use for your event include our pool complex, sports fields golf driving range, tennis courts, go karts, rock climbing, zip lines, bumper cars, and so much more. There are various menus depending on what type of picnic you choose, and you will always have additional entertainment and menu options available to you.

Our Staff is Dedicated to Making Frogbridge the Safest Experience Possible

Your Child’s Safety is the Top Priority for Team Frogbridge

When it comes to choosing the right camp for your child, safety comes first. With that in mind, I wanted to talk about our incredible staff at Frogbridge and to share our team members‘ qualifications and the training they go through to ensure your child’s safety and comfort. Our team has the enthusiasm, character and experience needed to make Frogbridge the ideal place for each camper.

Transportation Team Member Background Checks

A major factor in making Frogbridge the premier day camp in Monmouth County is our safe, air-conditioned transportation. We offer door-to-door busing for an additional fee and “Central Express” routes from many points in Monmouth, Ocean, Mercer and Middlesex Counties at no extra cost. Our drivers learn their routes in advance and introduce themselves to you and your children to answer any questions or concerns you might have. In addition, each of our transportation team members must pass an extensive background check, including:
  • Certification of passing a random drug test.
  • An up-to-date CDL license with no points or previous violations.
  • Fingerprinting from their current employer or school district.
  • Proof of three years experience in child transportation.

Specialized Training For Aquatic Activities

Each swim instructor is trained to give your child careful, effective swimming lessons under American Red Cross guidelines. Instructors are required to take an online safety training course, so they know how to maintain a comfortable and safe swimming environment, how to prevent accidents and injuries and how to respond to injured swimmers. After that, they come to Frogbridge to take an in-water skills verification assessment, along with our lifeguards.

Specialized Training for Division Leaders & Counselors

We hire experienced teachers licensed by the State of New Jersey to be our division leaders and we look to hire counselors studying elementary education to work alongside those teachers. Our Counselors-In-Training (C.I.T.) also work alongside licensed teachers. This provides a great learning experience for those looking to further their Frogbridge careers and ensures having multiple team members your children can turn to whenever they feel the need.

Specialized Training for Medical Team Members

Our infirmary is just like your child’s nurses office at school. Both of our nurses, referred to by many of our campers as “camp moms,” are experienced, registered nurses who create a comfortable environment, in which children are well cared for. They are trained to handle numerous situations and to ensure that your children will get the care they need to recover and return to the day’s activities. In addition to our infirmary, many of our team members serve as E.M.T.’s within their communities and have received CPR and First Aid Training. As a “nut aware” facility, we can assure that no nuts are anywhere in our kitchens, so that those children with nut allergies can avoid any possible reaction-causing contact.

Energy, Enthusiasm & Personality

We rely on our team members to celebrate the excitement of the Frogbridge experience with each camper. Team members are selected for their enthusiasm toward their respective roles and to provide a great experience for each camper. Our goals for our campers are for them to grow as people, to form positive relationships and to have a positive role models, while having fun, memorable summers.

Compassion

We want you and your campers to know that they can turn to our team members with any questions or concerns, so their time at Frogbridge is comfortable and safe.
