Positions @ Camp

Division Leaders
Highly experienced camping professionals only. Strong communication skills when speaking and/or meeting with parents and various staff members. Organizational skills and friendly, outgoing personality are absolutely necessary. Duties include conveying camp policies, organizing camp events, direct supervision of counselors and all assistants within a particular grade.
Instructors
Are teachers, coaches and experienced camping professionals who are responsible for designing and implementing selected activities or projects. As an instructor you will lead groups of campers and counselors in an area of specialty throughout the day.
Teachers
Opportunities for employment include preschool through third grade group leaders and ninth- and tenth-grade travel chaperones. A current, valid Teacher’s Certification is required. Teachers may also work as instructors or administrators (see description below).
Counselors
Minimum requirement: high school graduate. Responsibilities include leading groups of campers, participating in all group activities throughout the day, mentoring to counselors-in-training (CIT’s).
Assistant Counselors
Minimum requirement: current sophomore or junior in High School. Responsibilities include assisting head counselor, participating in all group activities throughout the day, serving as bus monitor in the morning and afternoon.
Lifeguards
Minimum requirement: current sophomore in high school. Current American Red Cross Certification is Mandatory! W.S.I. Certification is always preferred but not required. Previous lifeguarding experience preferred.
Office Staff
Minimum requirement: vast computer knowledge, past secretarial experience, excellent communication skills, multi-tasking abilities, organizational skills. A friendly, outgoing personality is absolutely necessary.
Transportation Team Drivers
Minimum requirement: at least 3 years of C.D.L. licensed, driving experience is absolutely necessary. Opportunities are available for permanent summer routes in specific areas throughout Central New Jersey, as well as permanent sitting substitute positions. Applicants must be team players, with an outgoing personality and patience.
Dining Staff
Previous kitchen experience required. Responsibilities include food preparation and handling, as well as previous experience serving and cleaning. Friendly, outgoing personality is a must.
Nurses
Previous camp or school nursing experience required. Responsibilities include dispensing of daily medication, treatment of bumps, bruises, etc. Strong communication skills when speaking with parents, staff and campers is a must. Organizational skills and friendly, outgoing personality are absolutely necessary.
