At Frogbridge, we look for three distinct qualities in all candidates…. Energy, Enthusiasm and Personality. We believe that a friendly, outgoing personality goes a very long way. All Team Members share the common belief that they are here to make a difference in the life of a child. Prior camp experience is preferred, but not always necessary, specifically at the assistant counselor level. All camp administrators must have significant previous camp experience.
All Frogbridge employees are referred to as “Team Members”. At Frogbridge, we strongly believe in the “team concept” in everything we do. All team members are here to help one another, working side by side, always willing to go the extra mile. As the age old adage states, “There is no “I” in “TEAM”!
The Frogbridge Day Camp season lasts 8 weeks or 39 days (we are closed 1 camp day in observance of the Independence Day Holiday). All summer camp team members must arrive each morning no later than 8:40 a.m. for our morning meeting. (Transportation Team Members and monitors will arrive at camp by 9 a.m.) The camp day officially begins shortly before 9 a.m., as busses begin to arrive for assembly. All team members must remain at camp until the last bus has departed the facility at 3:50p.m., immediately following our afternoon assembly.
Yes, we have 3 MANDATORY, paid, pre-camp training dates (totaling up to 24 hours). All training dates are in the month of June. Please keep in mind once again that these are mandatory training days. Failure to attend will forfeit your position as a team member this summer.
Not only will you now be associated as a member of one of the finest day camps in America, but you will also…
Our lifeguards and instructors are required to work the evening of our Camper/Parent BBQ Night during the 7th week of camp. Team members working in our travel divisions may also work beyond 4pm on late night trips.
No. As a Frogbridge Team Member, you must understand that we are working extremely hard to achieve the status and reputation we currently hold. This is only possible if we have a strong commitment from our team members. It is important to establish consistency when working with children, and it would be unfair to the children placed in your care to create a “revolving door”, with replacement team members taking your place in your absence. All team members are required to work a full day, each of the 8 weeks of the summer. Various appointments and vacations must be scheduled after camp hours.
