AQUATICS ACTIVITIES &

SWIMMING PROGRAMS

Daily Swim Lessons

Our American Red Cross Instructional Swim Program takes place in our four heated swimming pools. The Frogbridge swim program gives campers the opportunity to swim twice daily. Instructional swim lessons are given each morning, with bi-monthly progress reports sent home from your child’s swim instructor clearly indicating individual accomplishments throughout their summer!

The Frogbridge Instructional Swimming recipe calls for one period each day of Red Cross Instruction, with the second swim period of each child’s day utilized for “Free Swim” and other water related activities. The recipe takes into account our campers endurance and attention span for learning. All campers will work toward becoming Red Cross certified in swimming. Diligent supervision and dedicated instruction produces results. Throughout the summer your child will work toward advancement in our 6 swim levels. Whether it’s a Beginner or an Advanced Swimmer, Frogbridge has the perfect mix of water safety and fun for everyone.

Aquatic Staff

The Frogbridge Aquatic Staff is committed to the care and supervision of all swimmers and is comprised of Red Cross Water Safety Instructors, certified lifeguards, pool aides, group leaders, supervisors and general counselors. We are “over staffed” and overly cautious – no other substitute is acceptable! Our staff is trained to be especially sensitive to the needs of different levels of swimmers of all ages.

Swim Program

Our American Red Cross Instructional Swim Program is offered daily to our campers. The following represent the 6 levels of the Frogbridge Swim Program:

  • Level 1 – Introduction to Water Skills
  • Level 2 – Fundamental Aquatic Skills
  • Level 3 – Stroke Development
  • Level 4 – Stroke Improvement
  • Level 5 – Stroke Refinement
  • Level 6 – Fitness Swimmer

Upon completing all 6 levels, campers will then have the opportunity to go on to learn junior lifeguarding techniques, preparing them for a future Aquatics position!

Lakefront Highlights

Our waterfront lifeguards and instructors will train campers how to properly utilize Paddle Boats, Kayaks, and Bumper Boats. Each camper must always be properly fitted with a personal floatation device, each camper’s safety is our number one priority!

With three beautiful, natural lakes our campers share experiences children will not find elsewhere including:

  • Bumper Boats
  • Fishing
  • Kayaking
  • Paddle Boats
  • Private Beach
  • Toadally Tubing

Water Watchers

Every staff member plays an important role in our aquatics program. While on-site, each teacher, counselor and assistant must focus on nothing but our campers and the water. These “water watchers” will be assigned to designated locations around our pools to provide extra sets of eyes and ears, ensuring that nothing is overlooked and campers get all the personal attention they deserve while enjoying their time in our pools. After all, the only team members that should be instructing swim lessons in the water are those team members that are certified to do so!

While visiting the aquatics complex, campers will not only enjoy daily American Red Cross swim instruction and free swim periods each day, but will also enjoy wild and wacky water games and events throughout the summer specifically located at our pools.

Water activities include: water polo, water basketball, dunk tank days and the famous “Wild n’ Wacky” Water Day, where inflatables are brought into and around our aquatic complex, giving campers an escape from reality as they splash the day away!

As always, while visiting the pools during any swim periods of the summer, all campers will be provided with clean, fresh towels poolside, as well as enjoy amenities such as poolside restrooms and changing areas, chilled water fountains and shaded areas with umbrellas and poolside seating.
